Getting Into College
College Preparation
Thinking about college can be a daunting task. What will I major in? How will I pay for the things that I need? What classes or tests do I need to take in high school to prepare me for the transition to college? We understand and we are here to help guide families through the process of preparing for college, both academically and financially.
CPS is a college preparatory school and our goal is to make sure that all of our graduates are prepared for the transition into higher education.
Our steps in meeting this goal are:
Our content-rich curriculum progression from kindergarten through 12th grade.
We pay very close attention to the specific types of courses that we offer in the Upper School. No, we do not have a plethora of "elective" options, but the electives that we offer have been chosen with the purpose of meeting the CPS Mission and Vision.
Our course progression is scaffolded to ensure that each student will have met the state graduation requirements as a minimum AND will have-
completed at least one Advanced Placement (AP) course.
completed a Senior Thesis and Defense.
