Do I need experience to try out?
No! Any experience is helpful but not necessary. We do recommend look up videos of jumps, motions, and cheers to practice before trying out.
Is there anything I can do to prepare for tryouts?
Athletes should work or strength training and endurance year round.
Is this a competitive or sideline team?
Our cheer team is both sideline and competitive. All athletes who make the team are expected to participate in both components.
Can I tryout for just competitive or just sideline?
No, athletes must do both competition and sideline.
Do I need to retry-out for the competition team?
No, if you make the team you are a part of the competition team.
Can I do other sports while on the team?
Yes, however, the cheer season is year round and we expect cheer to be your priority. Missing practice, games, and competitions for other sports will not be excused.
Does the cheer team go to all football and basketball games?
Our team attends all home and away games for football and at least 1 game per week for basketball.
Do I need to attend all practices, games, events, and competitions?
All athletes are expected to attend all practices, games, events, and competitions. Failure to attend all events will result in a demerit unless excused by coaches prior to the event.
