Concurrent Enrollment Information

The information below is for students wanting to take a concurrent enrollment course (i.e. a course which gives college credit and high school credit) through Palomar, MiraCosta, or another college. Please note that these courses will not receive 5.0 credit. (Only online AP courses and upper level community college courses - typically numbered 200 and higher - can be awarded 5.0 credit, along with CAHS AP and Honors classes.)

As a general rule, these courses are transferable to other colleges. However, not all colleges will accept these credits - It is at the receiving college’s discretion whether to accept transfer credits. Also, some schools will not accept credits that are directly related to the major you intend to pursue. (They want you to take those courses at their institution.) To find out for sure if a specific course will transfer, please check with the colleges themselves by calling or emailing their admission offices.

CAHS Palomar Equivalents

Transferring from a California community college to a four-year university requires current information and thoughtful planning. ASSIST shows prospective California transfer students how courses they complete at a community college may be used to satisfy elective, general education and major requirements at a CSU or UC campus.
