Roper Community Learning Center is located at 2323 S Coddington St. in Lincoln, NE. Roper has been a part of the West A community for thirty years, and was established as a CLC in 2025 in partnership with CEDARS Youth Services.
A Community Learning Center (CLC) is a neighborhood hub that connects schools, families, and community resources to create a supportive environment for learning and development. CLCs offer a range of services and programs, including before and after-school activities, academic enrichment, health services, and opportunities for parent and community engagement. They aim to improve student success, strengthen families, and build stronger communities by providing a central point for learning and support. Lincoln Public Schools, alongside various Lead Agencies, support around 30 CLCs within Lincoln. Click here to learn more about CLCs in Lincoln!
Every student at Roper is a CLC student! “CLC” is an umbrella term that includes the whole school - not just one program or group. Through the Community Learning Center, all Roper students have access to support, activities, and engagement opportunities. A CLC is not a place, but a strategy to help every student succeed!
Roper CLC provides free, engaging club opportunities after school each quarter. Daily, fee-based after school care is provided to Roper students through Willard Community Center.
Roper PTO and Roper CLC work to put on family engagement events. Our goal is for all Roper families to have the opportunity to come together and connect in meaningful ways outside of school time.
Roper Elementary School has a long standing partnership with many neighborhood organizations and community members, working to ensure all Roper student and family needs are met.
