I was born and raised right here in Lincoln, Nebraska. I attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (GO HUSKERS!). I graduated in May 2017 with a degree in Elementary Education. This is my 9th year of teaching, all 2nd grade at Pershing.
Fun fact: My father is an alumni of Pershing. How cool is that?
During my free time, I like to read and listen to music. I’m also a big fan of football and baseball. Fall is such a fun time of year since both of these sports are going on (and school is starting up as well).
I enjoy spending time outdoors. My favorite outdoor activity is hiking. I go on annual hiking trips with my family. My favorite place to hike is at Alberta Falls in Colorado which is a waterfall in the Rocky Mountains. The views are unbelievable! I am a huge fan of traveling too. Some of my favorite places I've visited are the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, New York City, and Los Angeles!
I have always wanted to be a teacher as long as I can remember. I am passionate about children and their education. I love teaching and guiding students to success. I am always motivated and excited to learn alongside students. Together, we make a great team! We are going to have a great year!
