Expectations for Participants
1. All LPS/Lux school rules apply.
Be safe. Be respectful. Be responsible.2. Show up. Communicate absences to the Athletic Director and/or coach.
If you have unexcused absences from practice, it could result in reduced or eliminated playing time during games. An unexcused absence is one in which coaches and/or athletic director are not informed by note, email, or phone call from a parent/guardian. If they contact the office due to illness you are excused.
3. Be Prepared.
Come prepared with appropriate clothes, shoes, etc. If you do not have required items, it will be considered an unexcused absence. Be responsible and do not make excuses.
4. Work hard.
Give your best as a student athlete. This includes daily at practice and with your school work. Being a student is more important than being an athlete. If a teacher asks or requires you to stay after school, that is the priority. This will be considered an excused absence if the teacher writes a pass to practice or emails the coach and/or athletic director. The choices you make in the classroom can affect your practice and competition privileges.
5. Be Respectful.
Listen and learn from your coaches; follow their directions. As a student athlete you are participating to improve. To improve you must put in the work. Hard work beats talent when talent does not put in the work. If behavior becomes disruptive to practice, contact will be made with parent/guardian. Choices made at practice can affect your playing time.
