About

What is National Honor Society?

National Honor Society was founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals. This was the first nationally recognized honor society for high school students. NHS recognizes students based on four pillars: scholarship, leadership, character, and service.

What do NHS members do?

Each member of our school's NHS chapter completes a minimum of 7.5 service hours each term to serve our community. Additionally, each member completes an individual service project at some point during the school year. As a chapter, we run PLC tutoring and our school's individual tutoring program, maintain the Memorial Garden (located to the right of the main entrance), recognize our school's faculty & staff, and serve as role models for prioritizing scholarship, leadership, character, and service.
