Director of Athletics and Activities
Kara Graham

Ms. Graham begins her 2nd year as Lincoln Southeast High School's Director of Athletics and Activities. She was Lincoln Southeast High School’s Associate Director of Athletics and Activities for four years after teaching PE and Health at Lincoln Southeast for 12 years and leading the Knight’s Girls Basketball Program for seven years. During her time as Head Coach, she complied an overall record of 107-69. Under Graham’s guidance, the Knights made two State Tournament appearances, resulting in a Class “A” Runner-Up Finish in 2012 and a Class “A” State Championship in 2013.
Ms. Graham’s assigned duties Include NSAA Eligibility, Budget, Scheduling, Hiring Coaches and Coach Appraisals, Facilities Maintenance, the LSE Athletic Hall of Fame Committee and the LSE S.H.I.E.L.D. Student Leadership Program. Ms. Graham also works collaboratively with the Southeast Business Department as the appraising administrator. Ms. Graham also begins her 1st year as NSAA District 1 Board of Directors Representative.
Ms. Graham holds a Masters of Educational Leadership from Doane University and a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. While at UNK, Graham was a stand-out student-athlete for the Loper Women’s Basketball Team where she was also a four-year letter winner.
Ms. Graham began her teaching career at Belmont Elementary School as a PE Teacher and was also an Assistant Volleyball Coach and Assistant Basketball Coach at Lincoln Southeast.
A native of Lincoln, Nebraska and a Class of 1995 Alumni of Southeast, Ms. Graham was a multi-sport athlete who participated in volleyball, basketball and track. She was a Nebraska Super-State Basketball Player in 1994 and 1995, as well as Miss Nebraska Basketball in 1995. She helped lead the Knights to Class “A” State Championships in 1993, 1994 and 1995. Ms. Graham is currently an Adjunct Instructor for the Doane University Education Program.
Associate Director of Athletics and Activities
Jim Jacobsen
Mr. Jim Jacobsen begins his 2nd year as Associate Director of Athletics and Activities at Lincoln Southeast High School.
Mr. Jacobsen’s assigned duties as Associate Director of Athletics and Activities include Transportation, Securing Officials, Athletic Academic Support Program Coordinator and Tournament Director. He also assists with Coach Appraisals, Facilities Maintenance, the LSE Athletic Hall of Fame Committee and the LSE S.H.I.E.L.D. Student Leadership Program. Mr. Jacobsen also works collaboratively with the Southeast Health/Physical Education Department as the appraising administrator.
Athletics and Activities Administrative Assistant
Michelle Jones

Mrs. Michelle Jones is beginning her 3rd year as the Administrative Assistant for the Lincoln Southeast Athletics and Activities Department. Prior to becoming Southeast's Athletics and Activities Administrative Assistant, she was the Payroll and Substitute Secretary at Lincoln Southwest. Mrs. Jones was also an Executive Floor Manager for Van Maur and an Assistant Divisional Manager for Nordstroms.
Mrs. Jones oversees the Southeast Athletics and Activities Office by handling daily operations and supporting coaches, student-participants and their families, and the Southeast Athletic Administrators.
Mrs. Jones is a native of St. Louis, Missouri where she attended Marquette High School and participated in basketball and lacrosse. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from Stephens College, an Associate's Degree in Business Management from Meramec Community College and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management With An Emphasis In Marketing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Mrs. Jones was a college student-athlete and captain of the Stephens College Women's Basketball Team.
