REALM AWARDS: Each year we submit our completed edition of Istoria to a national contest for literary magazines.  Hundreds of magazines are submitted nationally, and magazines are graded on a rubric. Istoria has been nationally recognized as one of the best literary magazines for the past few years. See some of our recent awards below:

SUE PASCHOLD LITERARY AWARDS: For our twentieth anniversary edition, the Istoria staff decided to start giving out awards to the best submissions each year in prose, poetry, and visual art. The awards are named after Sue Paschold, the teacher who launched Istoria back in 2004, and was the staff advisor until her retirement in 2015. See the award winners from year's past:
