At Culler CLC, we believe students learn and grow in many different ways. Our clubs and programs give students opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, build relationships, challenge themselves, and discover what they are capable of.

From sports and STEM to art, leadership, academics, and recreation, there's something for everyone at Culler CLC.

All Culler CLC programming is FREE for students and families.

*PLEASE NOTE* Clubs will officially being in September, after Labor Day. For now, This week, we will continue spending time with students reviewing and reinforcing our Culler CLC expectations. We want every student to understand what it means to be respectful, responsible, safe, and ready to participate.

At the same time, we're going to have some fun!

Each day, students will have opportunities to participate in a variety of engaging indoor and outdoor activities while spending time with friends and staff.

Here are some clubs and activities we will offer in the first semester.

SPORTS & TRAINING CLUB

Students of all grade levels have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports throughout the year. There will also be training focused on skill development, footwork, conditioning, teamwork, and becoming a better athlete.

STEM, DISCOVERY & LITERACY

MALONE'S PUBLISHED AUTHORS

Your Voice. Your Story. Your Book.

Malone's Published Authors is a unique literacy and creative writing experience made possible through a partnership between the Clyde Malone Center and WRiTE BRAiN.

Students will have the opportunity to create, write, revise, and publish their own books. Through the process, students will develop their writing skills, creativity, communication, critical thinking, confidence, and individual voice.

But this experience goes beyond writing a school assignment.

Students will become published authors.

Their finished books will be published, and students will retain the rights to sell their work. Their books will also have opportunities to be featured in the school and community library system.

Every student has a story to tell. Malone's Published Authors gives them the opportunity to put that story into the world.

ROADS, RAILS & RACE CARS

A hands-on STEM experience where students explore building, design, engineering, problem-solving, creativity, and racing through engaging activities.

GARDEN CLUB

Students get hands-on experience caring for our school garden while learning about plants, food, nature, responsibility, teamwork, and sustainability.

ARTS & CREATIVITY

ART CLUB

Students have opportunities to explore drawing, painting, crafts, design, and other creative projects while developing confidence and expressing themselves through art.

GAMES & INTERESTS

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS

Students can participate in collaborative storytelling, problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and strategic gameplay through Dungeons & Dragons.

TODAY'S CHOICES

Students may also choose from a variety of supervised activities based on their interests.

LEADERSHIP & LIFE SKILLS

BEYOND BEAUTY

Beyond Beauty is a club designed to help students build confidence, develop healthy self-care habits, and discover the beauty of becoming their best selves. Originally created as the Hair, Skin & Nail Club, the program has grown beyond traditional beauty education to include personal hygiene, wellness, character development, life skills, career exploration, and community.

Through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and real-world experiences, students learn about caring for their hair, skin, nails, and overall well-being while exploring their strengths, interests, and potential.

C.E.O. INITIATIVE / FRIENDS GROUP

The C.E.O. Initiative / Friends Group helps students develop skills that can support them in school, relationships, and life.

Students explore coping skills, social skills, emotional awareness, anger management, communication, decision-making, conflict resolution, confidence, responsibility, leadership, and goal-setting.

CAMPUS LIFE

A supportive environment where students can explore, develop friendships, coping skills, social skills, leadership, and personal growth while participating in engaging activities and experiences.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

HOMEWORK HELP

Students have opportunities to work on assignments, check grades and upcoming work, ask questions, and receive support from CLC staff.

TUTORING

Additional academic support is available to help students strengthen skills and stay on track. Please contact charles.richardson@lps.org for more details.

QUIET STUDY

Need some peace and quiet? Students can use designated quiet areas to read, study, complete assignments, or focus on schoolwork.
