Wednesday - May 7, 2025 - Day 6
Wysong Building Map -- Where to go and how to get there
Hello!!
Thank you for Guest Teaching for me today. I hope you enjoy your time at Wysong. Today is a DAY 6. My daily schedule is posted on the right. Since you are hear for a half day, I have your classes highlighted in RED.
I will expand upon each time frame in the page below.
I will be including (embedding) videos of instruction for each grade level lesson on this site. Feel free to show those videos to students if you wish -- or you may watch them during prep time to become acquainted with the lesson and then teach it yourself. Whatever is easiest and most comfortable to you.
Students will access the activities and sites in their usual ways (Google Classroom or bookmarks on their devices). Here is a quick link to my CS Landing Page: WYSONG CS PAGE
I hope you have a great day at Wysong!
12:15 - 12:55 - Lunch / Plan Time
Thank you for covering today! Use this time to scan through the lessons and watch the introduction videos for each grade level. Seating charts and "daily effort grade / attendance" is on the blue clipboard. Feel free to mark absences and effort grades for each student. A 3 is "district standard". A 4 would be for a student showing exceptional effort and behavior, 2 would be acceptable if more than 2-3 redirects for the same or multiple issues were given to a student, 1 would be for a student who is showing complete defiance or if an office call is needed.
12:55 - 1:45 - Kindergarten - Mrs. Daffer

If time, students may create additional platform games -- or play their classmates games and provide feedback.

Today, we will pause our Zoombini adventure. We will learn the last few puzzles next week. Instead -- today is a FREE CHOICE day. Students may use the 2nd grade "For Fun" page found on their Grade level CS site. Students may also use an Ipad and work on Codespark Academy puzzles or activities.
3:38 - 3:45 - Playground Dismissal Duty
After 2nd grade dismissal, walk down the hallway toward the 4th grade pod and exit the building and walk toward the north end of the building and stand on / near the playground structure. Monitor students as they walk toward the carlane, or down the sidewalk towards home. Students should not be riding bikes or scooters on school grounds. They should not be playing on school playground until after 4pm (unless they come out and are WITH the YMCA afterschool care program).
