A capstone project is a final example of work that showcases what you have learned and can express to others who you are. Students in Grade 4 are encouraged to use Scratch to create projects involving art and storytelling.

Explain to students that in this quarter, they will be using the Google CSFirst tutorials to create one or more projects that will highlight many of the concepts introduced and used during the elementary Computer Science classes so far. The theme will be using code to create ART and/ or STORIES.

Teachers can choose to do either the Art or Storytelling units or do a combination from the two.
Students can use these tutorials to create and express themselves with Art. There are eight different design tutorials and each has several add-ons that can allow for individual design choices. Students may have time to complete more than one project depending on available work time and rotation schedule.
