Welcome to US History! Our study of US History this year will take us on a journey from 1865 to the present, and we will learn about many interesting and influential people and events along the way. This course aligns to the Virginia Standards of Learning, and SOL-aligned assessments are given at throughout the school year (referred to as LDAAs). What's happening in class?
We will kick off the school year with a mini-unit on the American Civil War, followed by a study of the post-Civil War time period called Reconstruction. All of this, of course, comes with some introductory activities as well.
