Welcome to Honors English 7! I am so excited to be a part of your 2021 - 2022 school year! In this class, we will focus on critical reading and writing skills which will increase our awareness of and appreciation for the power of the written and spoken word. As a skills-based subject, some objectives may be challenging. If we persevere and work together, we will have fun accomplishing these challenges as we become better readers, writers, and communicators. What's happening in class?

We will kick off the school year with both reading and writing! In our novel study, we will ask ourselves "In a culture where we are bombarded with expectations and ideas of what we SHOULD be--how can we stay true to ourselves and remain authentic?" We will also begin to explore the structure and organization of narrative writing as we craft our own personal narratives.
