I have been teaching Middle School and High School art at Clarke since 2013. I also serve as the webmaster for the Art Educators of Iowa and serve on the All-State Art committee. I grew up in Norwalk and then went on to UNI where I graduated with my B.A. in Art Education with an emphasis in Painting in 2009. I completed my Master's in Art Education from UNI in 2017
I now live in Windsor Heights, IA with my husband Frank and our rabbits. We have been married since 2009, and he has been a cancer survivor since 2014. In my free time I enjoy making art, finding new artists online, trying new restaurants, visiting new places, and spending time with my three sisters, and my brother. I also enjoy cute pictures and funny videos of unusual animals. I love reading books and watching crime TV shows ( I can no longer sleep without watching Forensic Files). I am addicted to coffee and macaroni and cheese.
My biggest goal is to help students apply creativity to their element, whether that is art, basketball, or accounting, and learn the skills to think like an artist.
