About me

I absolutely love teaching science. My love was inspired by my 7th grade science teacher, Mrs. Judy Coker. I have taught the following grades: first, fifth, sixth, and seventh.  I have taught just science for 14 years. I constantly looking for ways to inspire the love of science in all my students. 

I also am a proud member of the house of black known as Altruismo. 

I began college majoring in biology and minoring in chemistry. Then as a Jr. I switched to a major in education and graduated with a BS in elementary education from Francis Marion.  I received my Masters from Lesley University with a degree in Technology in Education. I am also a National Board certified teacher.   

I am the proud mother of 3 grown men: Sterling, Hunter, and Kyle. I am a MeMaw to three grandchildren; Braelyn 14,  Lewis who is 4, and Garrett 6 weeks.  Life is perfect with grandchildren.
