Within this section of the website is information regarding School to Work as well as the required applications. School to work is a program that aims to assist students with developmental disabilities exit school at 21 with meaningful employment. Students enrolled in the program will work directly with an adult supported employment agency that will collaborate with the student’s team including parents, school district staff and adult service agencies to help the student find a good job match before graduating from school. This program starts the summer before the students exiting year. If students qualify for DDA and would like to participate in this program they are encouraged to reach out to the Transition Coordinator, Ms. Eldridge at (360)473-3529. If students are eligible students and Guardians will be contacted in May to apply for the program for the following school year.
Starting with the exiting class of 2021-2022 School to Work will be a two year program. Those students who are exiting in 2021-2022 will sign up for the program in the fall of 2020-202.
