Counseling Vision Statement

The vision of Ruth O. Harris Middle School counseling program is that students will cultivate academic proficiency in high school and beyond by learning to advocate for themselves, and creating short and long term goals along their journey.  Through participation in the school counseling program, all students will gain college and career readiness by developing critical thinking skills, ethical decision making, and a culture of success. Our hope is that our students become responsible, empathetic, and productive citizens while feeling valued in our diverse community.
