Counseling Mission Statement

The school counseling program at Ruth O. Harris Middle School advocates for all students by providing access to a comprehensive and data-driven counseling program where academic, career readiness, and social-emotional needs are being met to create well-rounded students.  We empower all students by providing enriching opportunities for them to develop self-advocacy, critical thinking, and personal growth skills that they will use post graduation.  Through an inclusive environment and our partnerships and collaboration with students, families, and the diverse community, we provide our students with an equitable, safe, and positive school environment for them to be successful.
