How DEWEY organize our books?!?!

It is organized by a system called the Dewey Decimal System. There are so many books in a library that it can be hard to find a book if it was not organized. The Dewey Decimal System helps us put books in its place, so it can be easier to find.

Non-Fiction

The books are grouped by subjects and each place value tells what topics the book covers.

The 100s place value tells you the main topic of the book

The 10s and 1s values narrows down the topic so you know exactly what is covered in the book.

The letters are alphabetized by the first three letters of the author.
