We would like to recognize Jack, a student from Grand Terrace High School, for demonstrating outstanding allyship and leadership. Jack created these posters to support African American students and staff and to help promote Black History Month across CJUSD.
His work reflects the power of student voice and the importance of standing in solidarity to uplift and affirm the identities, contributions, and experiences of our Black community members. Jack’s efforts model how students can actively contribute to creating inclusive, supportive, and culturally affirming learning environments.
We encourage staff and sites to utilize and display these posters to help cultivate a positive climate and culture for our Black students, while reinforcing our district’s commitment to equity, belonging, and inclusive practices.
Thank you, Jack, for leading with courage, empathy, and purpose.
