Meet the Teacher

Hello, Cardinal John Foley Families,

My name is Lisa McVeigh. I am very happy to be a member of the faculty and staff at Cardinal John Foley School for the 2026-2027 school year. I have been teaching for many years, most of them as a first grade teacher. I have also taught 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade and kindergarten.

I received my bachelor's degree from West Chester University in elementary education with a concentration in early childhood. Shortly after, I earned a masters degree in reading from Saint Joseph's University. Following the obtaining of my masters degree, I continued to take many education courses to further my knowledge in education.

I live in Havertown with my husband and 2 adult children. When I am not at school teaching, I love spending time at the beach, cooking, reading and dancing!

I look forward to participating in the many wonderful things that are a part of Cardinal Foley School!
