Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 hosts and facilitates regularly scheduled regional emergency preparedness meetings for all school safety personnel and leaders, as well as local emergency management leaders for our coverage area in Northampton, Monroe and Pike counties. During these meetings, the IU has an opportunity to share official information and updates from Pennsylvania school safety leaders from the Statewide System of Support. Other information discussed may include, but not be limited to: regional health and safety concerns, trends in school safety, threats of violence or high safety risks in local schools along with strategies to address them, state mandates, share resources, best practices, opportunities for trainings, and more!
