Mrs. Annette Nielsen

Hello! My name is Annette Nielsen. I am delighted to be part of the IU Elementary School Counseling team. I will be working with the following schools: Holy Family, Immaculate Conception School, and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. 

Before joining the elementary school counseling team, I was a high school counselor for 12 years at Bethlehem Catholic High School and have 9 years of experience as a social worker, working with all age groups. This is an exciting change! 

I received my bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in social work at East Stroudsburg University. I attained my master's degree in secondary school counseling at Kutztown University. I obtained my elementary school counseling certification through Bloomsburg University. 

I love spending time with my husband, son, and our two fur babies, Buck (a Golden Retriever) and Hazel (a Golden Retriever/German Shepherd), along with our two mischievous cats, Storm-fly (Stormi) and Soot.
