Parking Garage

Downtown Public Parking Garage

To promote the existing and future businesses in the downtown area, a 3-story public parking garage will be constructed to provide adequate parking to the entire area for current and future demands. This project will utilize the existing surface parking lot between the First Methodist Church (34 W Washington Street), the First Methodist Building (23 Public Square) and the rear portion of the former Bradley Hall/Sears Building that fronts on Franklin Street. The historic front-facade of the Bradley Hall/Sears building that fronts on the Public Square will remain and be restored.

Accessing the Garage

The parking garage will have four different pedestrian access points; (1) one directly onto W Washington Street, (2) one onto W. Franklin Street, (3) one through the historic facade of the Bradley Hall/Sears building, and (4) one through the first floor retail space of the First Methodist Building.

Vehicle will enter and exit the parking garage from West Franklin Street.
