To begin every year, the PABD staff like to sit down and discuss the goals that had guided the previous year and begin to develop new goals for the coming year. These goals are intended to go beyond the day-to-day tasks of the department and have a broader positive impact on the city as a whole. These goals are also an attempt to continually review our own processes so that we are providing the best and most efficient experience to any individual that interacts with our office.
After much time and consideration, the Planning and Building Department staff has developed the following goals for the 2022 calendar year:
Specifically, we'd like to finish the migration to Citizenserve so we can focus on making more of it's features "live" for the public to utilize.
Specifically, we'd like to work towards having our staff hold and maintain more certifications in their respective fields.
Specifically, we'd like to provide more webinars as new components of Citizenserve are brought on-line, as well as update and add information to our website so it is more "customer-friendly".
Specifically, revisions to the Subdivision Process and the Landscaping Standards, as those have been identified in past reviews.
Specifically, we'd like to update all Plan Commission and BZA application packets as there are currently inconsistencies between some of the application packets. Additionally, we'd like to review our fee structures to ensure we are both competitive and business-friendly, but also properly charging for the real costs associated with the administration of our services.
Specifically, we'd like to establish regular update meetings with all of these "partner organizations" so that we can better coordinate our efforts to achieve shared goals.
Specifically, we'd like to continue with the classification of ETJ areas and set a goal of completing 6 additional areas this calendar year.
