City of Lewisville Public Library  Volunteer Programs

Adult Volunteer Program

Volunteer opportunities are available at the Library for anyone ages 18 and over.

Volunteers primarily work in the Library Accounts department as sorters and shelvers, but also help with other miscellaneous tasks such as cleaning media items, searching for books on the shelves, and other special projects that help maintain the quality of our Library.

Requirements to volunteer include attendance at a one-hour orientation to be scheduled at the volunteer's convenience, and a background check.

Adult Volunteers are required to work at least 2 two-hour shifts per month. We also do not allow court-ordered community service to be completed at the library.
