French is, along with English, the only language spoken on all five continents. More than 220 million people speak French. French is a major language of international communication. It is the second most widely learned language after English.

Learning a new language even has a positive impact on your first language, whereby it improves it.
When you join us in Year 7, you will have 2 lessons of French per week. Do not worry if you have not learned any before as we will start at the beginning.
