Math

We are examining multiplication strategies in class and continuing our year-long study on data relationships (a.k.a. "graphs and charts"). Homework reinforces number sense and spatial thinking. A homework sheet will be sent home daily and marked soon after. The homework sheet is NOT extension work. It is simple revision of the basics and should take between 2 and 5 minutes to complete (IN PENCIL).

In Term 2 students will be reading various novels Book Club style and working collaboratively to produce their novel study work.

Fruit of the Spirit

Saint Paul tells us, "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23). Children who have been "caught" being a role model of any of the gifts will receive a Fruit of the Spirit Award and be put into the monthly school-wide draw for a prize.

For the month of February 4A will be looking more into what love means.

We are competing our discovery of the different physiographic regions of Canada and moving towards improving our understanding of the traditional lands of the First Nations communities across North America.
