We are examining division strategies in class and continuing our year-long study on data relationships (a.k.a. "graphs and charts"). Homework reinforces number sense and spatial thinking. A homework sheet will be sent home daily and marked soon after. The homework sheet is NOT extension work. It is simple revision of the basics and should take between 2 and 5 minutes to complete (IN PENCIL).

Saint Paul tells us, "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23). Children who have been "caught" being a role model of any of the gifts will receive a Fruit of the Spirit Award and be put into the monthly school-wide draw for a prize.
For the month of May 4A will be looking more into what gentleness means.

Social Studies Investigations
We are learning about what happened when European explorers came to the area we now call Canada and how their first encounters with First Nations and Inuit people panned out.
