Hello and Welcome to our Grade 1C website. Please note this is a work in progress and I will update it with pictures and information whenever I have the chance. Things to remember -

*please bring a water bottle back and forth to school every day (juice, pop, and all other sugary drinks are not permitted)

*check your child's planner every night and send it to school the following day

*let me know if your child's after school routine changes so I can make sure everyone gets home safely each day

*students need to have non-marking inside school uniform shoes and gym shoes please

School Cash Online Payment Platform

We are excited to announce that Queen of Angels is now offering School Cash Online - a new way to pay for School expenses. School Cash Online provides you with the convenience of paying online with a Credit Card or Debit Card for a variety of school items. This platform will allow parents, grandparents and others to pay online for field trips, athletic fees, school plays and concerts or any other items available for students to purchase. School Cash Online is the preferred method of payment and is intended to enhance on-line safety and efficiency within the District for both parents and staff.

Please follow the link in Step 1, below, to register online – it takes less than 5 minutes! Once you have registered your student, you will be able to see all items posted online for purchase. You also have the option to be notified whenever your child has a new school expense added.

To set up an account and explore the system, please follow the instructions below.

Step 1: Click on this link: https://cisdv.schoolcashonline.com/

Step 2: “Register” button and follow the instructions.

Step 3: After you receive the confirmation email, log in and add each of your school-age children to your household account. To do this, you will need your student’s legal last name, legal first name, and date of birth.

* Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Students themselves can also register to purchase items.

* Community Members, you can skip this step: “I don’t want to add a student”.

Please note: As we begin the new process, there may not be many items in your schools catalogue. More items will be added as we complete the launch.

Weather updates -

Students need to bring a jacket to school every day please. Mr. Untereiner would like the students outside, as much as possible, during recess and lunch.

Mr. Battie has asked that students have inside gym shoes to prevent marks and dirt on the gym floor.

Students need to have a water bottle at school every day please. We have water filling stations in our hallway. Water bottles will go home each day to be washed. Thank you.

PE is every Tuesday and Friday

French is every Monday and Thursday

Music is every Wednesday

Cultural Studies is every Wednesday

Ipad time is most Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays

Cooking Lab dates are usually the last Tuesday of the month

Spelling Tests are usually every Friday - students can also bring a stuffy to school with them on Fridays

Science Question # 20 What is the largest animal that lives on land? - students can ask family members, research the answer in a book, check online, ask Siri or Alexa, or even guess what they think the answer is - answers can be serious or silly - please bring results back for Friday debates - parents or students can write the answers in pencil, draw pictures, print photos)

Online Learning - please refer to the Links page at the top right side of the screen. It will take you to some of the computer programs we have set up for use at home. If you have any difficulty logging in or have any questions about the programs, let me know. We have started using some of the programs at school, and they are now ready to be tried at home if you wish. It is not mandatory that your child participate in these programs at home.

Scholastic Book orders have started going home. These are online book clubs where you can purchase books for your children. There is no obligation to purchase any books. If you are interested in seeing what is available, please go to Scholastic.ca for more information. Paper copies of the book club flyers will go home approximately once a month.
