CISMUN 2027
The Power of Multilingualism in an Evolving World
Dates: 29 - 30 January 2027
Dates: 29 - 30 January 2027
Dear Delegates, Chairs, Advisors, and Esteemed Guests,
It is with great excitement that we welcome you to CISMUN 2026, hosted by the Canadian International School Singapore on January 29th-30th. This year, our theme, “The Future of Global Cooperation: The Power of Multilingualism in Adapting for an Evolving World”, reflects our core belief that language is a bridge which is essential for facilitating understanding, diplomacy, and long-term global cooperation in our increasingly interconnected and diverse world.
CISMUN embodies this theme through our unique approach, featuring English-medium committees along with pioneering a Chinese-medium committee as well as a French-medium committee, while welcoming delegations from a diverse range of linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Delegates will find themselves debating topics such as climate-induced migration and its impact on environmental refugees to discussing the crisis of Shangdang in both Chinese and English under HJCC.
This year, we have designed our committees to be accessible to delegates who may have minimal conference experience. With smaller committee sizes and a guided committee, we aim to foster maximal engagement and participation by providing an environment where every delegate feels seen, heard, and comfortable.
To ensure that everyone is supported throughout their CISMUN experience, we will be hosting a training session for delegates and chairs on Friday, 29th January 2027, so that they are at ease before the conference day (Saturday, 30th January 2027).
CISMUN offers an excellent opportunity to enhance skills that extend well beyond the realm of international diplomacy by allowing you to refine your thinking, communication, and research abilities. We hope that by the end of this conference, you leave with an even stronger passion for diplomacy and a commitment to driving global change.
We hope to see you at CISMUN!
Warmly,
The CISMUN Secretariat
