Tuning In

When we first started our Tuning In stage, I didn't know much about the PYPx. Even though I searched and asked questions about PYPx, I was worried because this experience was new to me. I have experience working on projects but I have never shared big projects to others. We spent time exploring our passions together and discussing what PYPx meant together. I chose three words to describe PYPx: "opportunity," "inquiry," and "experience." The more I learned, the less worried I became. I could have fun and work hard.

Artist's Statement:

This is my Self-Portrait. Some symbols that I used to represent myself are about what I like, think, learn and see. The IB Learner Profile word that I chose is thinker because I wanted to think more to find new challenges. The art materials that I used in my art process were colored pencils and I chose these particular materials because I like to use pencils when I am making realistic things. The first thing that I did when I made my artwork was to make my face shape. The next thing that I did was make faces. The last and final thing that I did was color. What I enjoyed during the process was coloring. What I found difficult during the process was painting the background. What I learned from this process is that next time, I can improve my painting skills.
