Deforestation

Finding Out

During the Finding Out stage, I learned more about my topic. At first I wanted to learn all about animals including pets and stray animals and endangered animals. I focused my research topic to deforestation. I practiced different MISO methods for research. M is for Media, I is for interview, S is for survey, and O is for observation. I also experienced how to make Google Form surveys. It was hard to make survey questions. At first, my survey was more like a quiz. I revised my questions a lot so I could get people's perspectives.

An inquiry into...

Connection

My guiding questions

  • What is the issue with deforestation? Where is this an issue?

  • How does deforestation affect ecosystems locally, nationally, and globally?

  • Should government allow cutting trees?

An inquiry into...
responsibility toward forests

Responsibility

My guiding questions

  • What do people need to consider when they cut down trees to use?

  • What are people doing to prevent deforestation and save ecosystems?

  • What can I or other people do to help? Whose responsibility is it to help?
