Going Further
During the Going Further stage, I rounded up all of my research by creating and justifying my central idea. I researched about people/organizations taking action and then brainstormed how I could help. Next, I created a plan on what I would do to help, checked if my plan counted as ''sustainable action,'' and revised my plan where needed. Then, I actually took action and documented the process. Finally, I got feedback on the effectiveness of my action.

My Influential Person
My Influential Person
I believe refugees deserve equal rights to non refugees. I am inspired by Malala. She makes sure girls get proper education. She has a fundraiser to help girls in need. She helps girls because she does not want them to be judged because they are female because she knows what its like and she does not want anyone else to suffer. She is caring and she is a risk taker. I want to do for refugees what Malala does for girls with no access to education, in my own way.

Me giving my speech and collecting donations
I took action to inform people by making a speech to my friends and informing them about my problem and my passion. I also took action to improve a situation by organizing a fundraiser to raise money for child refugees. I invited my friends for a swim party and gave speeches to explain about the Ukrainian child refugees and how we can help by supporting School Within a School at each table to my friends and their parents. I made a donation box and asked for donations.
My speech could be considered sustainable because if you give refugees empathy and help, then they might start making friends and it can help you build your empathy. So if my speech inspires anyone to be kinder to refugees, then my speech can be considered sustainable.
It was effective because I do think that some people had their eyes opened and have this stick in their mind and I raised PHP7,590, which was way more than I expected which proves that my speech helped people understand why it was important to donate.
Now that I've done this once, I am planning to organize another event at school soon.
