During the Finding out stage, we asked lots of questions about issues connected to our passion like what was the problem, what is causing it, and how we can take action. Then we organized our questions, using key concepts. We rewrote our questions and put them into factual/conceptual/debatable questions. We learned about MISO method of research, the CRAAP test to evaluate our sources, note-taking, and citations. We did a lot of research!
My guiding questions
What caused the current situation in Ukraine? What are the motivating factors?
How are the causes similar/different to other conflicts and wars in other geographic areas or in history?
Why do people seem to care more about Ukraine now than other conflicts that are happening around the world?
My guiding questions
What are the different issues children in wars face? What issues do they face when they flee their homes as refugees?
What are the reasons for the similarities/differences in the way people treat child refugees?
Why should people care about child refugees?
My guiding questions
Who is helping child refugees? What are they doing? What can people do to help locally, nationally, globally?
What do people need to consider when making decisions about how to help?
Who should decide/influence how we should help, who we should help? What can I or other people do to help?
