Process for International Students

All international students must apply directly to the universities. Most universities will have online applications. It is a very straightforward application. Please submit a list of your Australian universities to us by April if you're planning on a July intake so that supporting documents can be prepared.

Make sure that you understand application deadlines for your universities of choice as well as the distinction between 1st and 2nd semester intake. If you apply directly at the fair for mid-year or 2nd semester intake, your application fee will be waived. For the 1st semester intake, the application process will be much later (normally takes place in September). You must bring along your academic credentials with you (i.e. original copy of your transcript and other relevant documents). The IB predicted/expected grades will be sent directly by the UC office to your respective chosen universities as required.

For University of New South Wales, they admit students three times a year. In takes are in Term 1, 2 and 3. Please be mindful that not all degrees are offered in all the intakes. Most professional programmes admit students in Term 1.

Please be mindful about the application for undergraduate medical studies at the *University of New South Wales. All completed application forms and supporting documents must arrive on or before the end of June.

Process for Australian Permanent Residents or Australian Citizens

The official/normal academic year for all Australian universities begins in late February/early March of each calendar year.

2nd semester intake (July)

The second/mid year intake of students will start during the 3rd week of July. The general application timeline for Mid-Year Intake is early April. We shall be mailing off your supporting documents in late April. Please note that the second intake is usually very small compared to the March Semester intake. The vast majority of courses have usually been filled by the time of the mid-year intake which means that those courses are not available.

1st semester intake (March)

The application process for Australian permanent residents or citizens normally takes place in September. Students have to apply through the relevant state admission application centres (see list below). It is important to note that Australian PR and citizens, will only get ONE offer from the state to which they are applying (except if they apply to private universities). It is advisable to apply to different states so you can get an offer in each state.

Below are the contact details for different admissions centres in Australia. The state of Tasmania does not have an admissions centre. Please apply directly to the university (www.utas.edu.au).

Admissions Centres

The search engines below will lead you to institutions and programs by region. Unless you're thoroughly familiar with Australia's geography, we recommend you avail yourself of an Australia map to understand the territories each admission centre encompasses.
