Alumni Mentorship Program

The Alumni Mentorship program is designed to pair CIS students with CIS alums who can provide guidance and advice on academics, university options, careers, and personal development.



Student Mentees

Need help? Need reassurance that you can survive the IB program and university applications? Want proof that CIS graduates are successful in their careers?

Rewards:

  • Wisdom and experiences of someone who has been where you are right now... and survived!
  • Tips to gain work experience
  • Insight into researching post-secondary options
  • Networking connections
  • Advice on and suggestions for university applications, college essays and interviews
  • Knowledge of particular post-secondary institutions and career paths

Responsibilities:

  • Attend a "Meet & Greet" event to meet your mentor (date to be determined). If you or your mentor are not in attendance, it will be your responsibility to make the initial contact via phone call, email or in-person meeting with your mentor
  • Make a commitment from the start of the program through to graduation
  • Make contact with each other every 2 months during the academic year (as a guideline)
  • Respect the confidentiality of information shared between mentor and mentee
