CAS stands for Creativity, Activity and Service.
CAS is both a requirement of the IB and of the CIS high school diploma.
CAS means that students participate in experiences that are identified as Creativity, Activity and/or Service. Students complete these experiences on their own time - in essence, CAS is a student's extra-curricular program.
Students are required to undertake 18 months of intentional CAS experiences, during the two year Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12). As part of this, students will also complete at least one collaborative CAS Project. The combination of a student's CAS Experiences and CAS Project is known as the student's CAS Programme.
The students' CAS Programme is documented and assessed through a CAS Portfolio, which is created on the Toddle platform.
