The Merriam- Webster dictionary defines learning as a “knowledge or skill acquired by instruction or study.” I believe that teaching is not so much about what you make students do, but more about what you do for students. A teacher cannot force learning to take place, but they can do a great deal to create an atmosphere where students want to learn. I would say that real learning means that students have picked up the concept and can apply it in other situations in their lives. Teachers are the foundation of society as they shape young minds into productive, successful members of society. Their first responsibility comes with understanding; they must understand that each student is an individual with his or her own special personality. Students come to teachers with different point of views and learning styles. Some love to talk aloud, while others remain reserved. Some are creative while others are uninspired. It is my responsibility to help every student and inspire learning.
