The Story of the Mural

Who did this?    Two faculty members:  Ms. Lucy Sosa, Elementary Art Teacher, and Ms. Adella Semidey, Elementary Librarian.

Where is it?   In the story corner of the  Elementary Library.

Why?  Those bare walls of the newly-remodeled library needed color...and animals...and nature...and a great message about reading!

When and how, considering that the library is busy all day long?   After the school day was over, every day for a month, including weekends.

What else inspired them?   Marc Brown's fabulous illustrations for Judy Sierra's tale of a librarian taking her bookmobile to the zoo and reading to all of the animals!   ( Wild About Books, 2004)
