Project Lead The Way (PLTW)
PLTW inlcudes Biomedical, Engineering and Computer Science modules in Kindergarten through 12th grades. PLTW at CHUSD is funded by grants from Chevron. We thank you Chevron for your generosity and support of STEM for our students.

PLTW Launch is implemented in grades 4 and 5 at Sunset Elementary School and Huron Elementary School. Both schools include the following modules for their students:
4th Grade - Exploring Design, Energy Conversion and Input/Output Human Brain
5th Grade - Infection Detection and Robotics & Automation
PLTW Gateway
PLTW Gateway
PLTW Gateway is implemented at Coalinga Middle School and Huron Middle School.
- Coalinga Middle School offers Design & Modeling and Medical Detectives modules as elective courses for their students.
- Huron Middle School offers Medical Detectives, Science of Technology and Green Architecture modules as elective courses for their students.
Project Lead The Way provides opportunities for our students to learn and grow; experiment and fail only to persevere through and create something even better than before. PLTW encourages a culture of problem solving through the Engineering Design Model and the Scientific Inquiry Method.
