In consultation with the Churchill County Manager, the Churchill County School District administration has made the difficult decision to postpone the start of the school year until Monday, August 31, 2020 for all students, including those enrolled in full-time remote learning, due to changing circumstances in our community and in the district, such as a significant numbers of families changing their requests for online or in person instruction which resulted in challenges to transportation department needs. The administration understands families may experience challenges with this decision. The district administrators expect to be fully ready for August 31st and will be in touch with families through the rest of this week. If you have questions, please email parentinfo@churchillcsd.com.
The district will continue the food distribution sites tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th through Friday, August 28th as listed at the following link, which is also available on the district FB page, the district website and district reopening website to ensure families can have access to meals until we open on the 31st.

Each individual recorded in the census is $2,000 PER YEAR of federal funding over the next 10 years--so each person allows Churchill County access to $20,000--for schools, roads, etc.
Please complete the census for you and your family wherever you are living now. It is safe (no data is shared with other entities), fast (only about 10 minutes or less), and easy! You can also complete it by phone or in the mail, look for your envelope in the mail.
