P.A.S.S.

  • Course Description:
    • P.A.S.S. is a course designed to help students’ social-emotional and academic growth while in high school and beyond. The course will build social-emotional skills based on four core concepts: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills will help the student deal with the ups and downs of high school life. Additionally, the students will learn skills that will help them academically. The students will learn research skills, study skills, presentation skills, time-management skills and technology skills and how to plan for their four years at CHHS.
    • This course will also connect students with many resources in the school and community as a whole. We will be bringing in various guest speakers from local organizations, as well as having our student support staff coming in as well. Students will learn how to access these resources and prepare themselves for their high school careers and beyond.
