Jacob is a TDJFL Cup Champ

Waconian Jacob and his Altrincham Juniors U13 Giants Team won the Timperley & District JFL Cup last week in a nail biting 5-4 result

Netball Success!

Well done to Waconian Netballers Mehna, Trixie, Poppy, Amelie and their Wilmslow Lightning team for winning the Warrington Netball Tournament!

Congratulations to Alice, Alice and Martha who were crowned national champions in the ENG U15 YNPL Championship representing Bramhall Netball Club! 

Well done to Yasmin, Zara, Poppy and Tatiana all represented their Cheshire County U12s team in the Staffordshire Netball Tournament, taking home both 1st and 2nd place! And finally well done to netballer Freya who captained her Trafford U12 Netball team to Victory in the GMCNA League! 


Will lead's U12s to Trophy

Waconian William captained his Stockport U12 Lacrosse team to victory in the National 8s Tournament last weekend! 

The team went unbeaten in all games, with William scoring 8 goals throughout. Huge well done! 

Rugby Cup Champions!

Jack, Charlie, William and their Stockport RFU team are Cheshire U14 Rugby Cup Champions! The team secured their first Cheshire cup at the first attempt by overcoming a mighty Macclesfield side by 24-19. Huge well done boys!  


Alderley Edge Music Festival


Last week our Year 7 and 8 Prima Voce choir, directed by Mrs Crowe and accompanied by Mr Dewhurst, performed brilliantly in the Alderley Edge Music Festival and were awarded 2nd place overall! An Amazing achievement to all those involved. 


Kimberley takes to the stage

Kimberley in Year 5 took to the stage and was awarded 1st place in the Disney category and 2nd place overall in the Junior Novice National Musical Theatre competition. An super achievement, well done Kimberley!

Waconian Trio Head for Oxbridge

Congratulations to Maya, Joe and Izzy who have been offered places to study University of Cambridge and University of Oxford from September! Read all about their journey on the website now.

National Merit for James

Well done to Waconian James who received a Certificate of Merit in the Mathematical Education on Merseyside Challenge! The competition attracted over 1300 entries, with only a handful of pupils being recognised with an award. James picked up his certificate at a Prize Giving event at Uni of Liverpool - which included a series of puzzles, presentation of the solutions and a virtual presentation of the prizes. Great work James!

Year 6 go back in time!

Last night, Year 6 dazzled the audience with their outstanding production of 'Rock Bottom'. The performance was a hit, featuring fantastic songs, lively dancing, superb acting, and of course...lots of puns! Well done Year 6.

Stockport Schools League U15 Winners!

This week, both CHS's U14 boys and U15 girls played in the Stockport Schools League Football Final. Huge well done to our U14 boys for a brilliant effort and congratulations to our U15 girls who are Stockport Schools League Football champs! 

Upper Sixth's Last Day

Last week saw Upper Sixth's last day at CHS! From breakfast and BBQ lunch on site, to old school sports activities and yearbook signing...the day was full of fancy dress fun.

Altruistic CHS

House Easter Egg Tombola

The Underpass was buzzing this week as Waconians tried their luck in the House Easter Egg Tombola! Thank you to everyone who donated an egg, because of you, a total of £245 was raised for CHS House charities.

Class of 2024 raise money for the CHS Bursary Fund

The Head Pupils put on a fun and competitive Curry and Quiz night for the Class of 2024 to raise money for the CHS Bursary Fund. As they prepare to become Old Waconians, they felt strongly about giving back to the CHS Community.

A final amount of what they raised will be announced soon! Well done Class of 2024!

Bracelet making for Open Day

 Year 9 Waconians have been helping all week to make 'Taylor Swift' style friendship bracelets in time for Open Day on Saturday for the new prospective families.
