휴고 스와트는 현재 퀄컴의 XR사업을 비롯해 시장 진출, 제품 계획 및 로드맵, 전략, 파트너십 등 손익을 담당하고 있다.
그는 2003년 퀄컴 테크놀로지Technical Marketing Manager로 합류했으며 무선데이터 통신을 전세계 사업자에게 홍보하는 일을 담당했다. 그 이후에 아이디어 구상부터 고객 채택까지 무선공간에서 여러 성공적인 R&D 프로젝트를 이끌었다.
퀄컴 합류 전에는 Lucent Technologies와 Telecom Italia에서 세일즈 엔지니어로 일했다.

Hugo Swart serves as VP and GM of XR for Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. He is responsible for overseeing Qualcomm’s XR business and P&L including go-to-market, product planning androadmap, strategy, partnerships and customer development. He spearheaded the standalone VR category in the industry with Qualcomm Technologies’ first reference design in 2016 and built Qualcomm Technologies’ XR business from the ground-up.
Swart joined Qualcomm in 2003 as a technical marketing manager in charge or promoting wireless data technologies to operators worldwide. He has held roles of increasing responsibility since that time and has led several successful R&D projects from idea inception to customer adoption in the wireless space.
Prior to joining Qualcomm, Swart served as sales engineer for Lucent Technologies and Telecom Italia.
