We will be studying both American History and Minnesota History this year.  For American History, we will use the book Building a Nation and for Minnesota History, we will use The Northern Lights: The Stories of Minnesota's Past by Dave Kenney.  This book is an eBook, so the students will need their computers in order to listen to it.  It is a very interactive eBook, that not only reads the chapters but also includes additional videos and other interactive activities.  We will also be learning about the major rivers, lakes, towns, and counties of Minnesota, along with US geography!

This year, the 6th graders will be with the 5th graders for Social Studies.
