To bring our district’s foundational reading and phonics curriculums to life, our classroom is looking for thematic engagement materials to turn Fundations phonics routines and spelling practice into an adventure! We are seeking items to help students play Spy, Cowboy, Construction Worker, and Pirate while they decode words and master spelling patterns.
By blending imagination with structured literacy, these materials will provide the extra spark of engagement our students need to build confidence and become successful readers.

I am switching back to 2nd grade after teaching 1st and 3rd for several years. There are several things that I have on my list that would help my classroom run smoothly, help with organization, or just help the classroom feel more "homey". Several of our students don't have secure, loving homes so I always want my classroom to be a place where they are comfortable to learn and make mistakes, but also where they feel loved. I actually have all the items listed in one place but will also post a couple separately that have the highest priority.

As Heartland Elementary's school counselor, Cheryl is creating a counseling program from the ground up to provide students and families with social-emotional learning, coping strategies, and a safe place to grow.
This project will provide hands-on resources that make counseling engaging, comforting, and accessible for every child who walks through her door.
