Leadership students organize many of the events that bring Choctaw High School together. Craft supplies help create decorations and displays for Freshman Preview, Homecoming, Gold Rush, and other school-wide events that benefit hundreds of students.
.As the high school leadership program, my students work hard to lead events that help build a positive school culture. This includes decorating the school for back to school, homecoming, school events, and Gold Rush. We utilize a lot of craft materials to make this a success: Poster board, brown butcher paper, acrylic paint, acrylic paint pens, scissors,

Family & Consumer Sciences | Grades 9-12

A clean, welcoming classroom helps students develop important life skills. Donations will improve both the cooking lab and the children's literacy area used in Human Growth & Development classes.
As a Family Consumer Science teacher (hello cooking!), it’s important to keep my room as clean as possible. A few things that would help with that are heavy duty welcome mats (I had a huge mud & dirt problem last year) and a vacuum cleaner. Both would be so helpful in ensuring our environment is as clean and sanitary as possible! I have three entrances into my room, and one of them is an outside door. The other area I’m trying to improve is my Human Growth & Development area. I am in need of another bookshelf for the children’s books we review, analyze, read, and teach as well as some “pouf” seating cushions to go in the reading area.

welcome mat (need 3): Barnyard Designs Doormat Welcome Mat for Outdoors,

seating cushions: Floor Cushion Pillow Set of 2, Round Large Pillows Seating.

Hands-on learning helps students connect with literature in meaningful ways. Classroom supplies support creative projects while ensuring every student has access to the materials they need.
I need lots of manipulatives and disposable craft items: Crayons, Markers, Colored Pencils, Construction Paper, Scissors, and Glue. I always grab about 100 pencils, 20 highlighters, and about 12 boxes of tissue paper at the beginning of the year and make these accessible to students who need the supplies.

Lori Sosenko
Senior Capstone
Senior year is more than earning a diploma. It's about preparing students for the exciting transition into adulthood. Mrs. Sosenko's Senior Capstone class equips students with the practical skills, confidence, and mindset they'll need as they pursue college, careers, military service, or other life paths after high school.
This project will help create a welcoming and inspiring classroom where students can focus on goal setting, career readiness, financial responsibility, communication skills, and planning for their future.
"I am creating a warm, inspirational classroom where we will focus on life after high school as an adult. I am asking for classroom tools, décor, and supplies to aid in my students' experience and success in my class. Thank you so much for your willingness to help teachers this year. Anything would be greatly appreciated!"
