The food industry, especially the meat and dairy products sector, is the industry with the greatest impact on climate change after the fossil fuel industry. You don't have to be a vegetarian, but you can gradually reduce your meat intake and become a "flexible vegetarian" who usually eats vegetarian and occasionally meat. Cut your animal protein intake by half, and your diet's carbon footprint can be reduced by at least 40%.
