Hi! My name is Dana. I have been teaching English for twenty years at the Economic High School of Mangalia, a small town on the shore of the Black Sea. In my free time, I enjoy going for a walk on the seafront.
I try to involve my students in all kinds of projects and extracurricular activities. Two years ago, I coordinated an Erasmus project meant to raise awareness of environmental problems and the growing need for inclusion of students with special educational needs. Now, I have initiated this eTwininning project as I feel it is my duty to equip students with the essential skills they need to identify, analyze and combat fake news and misinformation in the digital age.
I am looking forward to closely collaborating with you, our partners, and turning this project into a valuable learning experience!
Hello everyone! My name is Ina, and I am an English and French teacher at the Centre of Excellence in Transports in Moldova. I work with vocational students, and I am passionate about helping them develop not only language skills, but also critical thinking and digital competencies that are essential in today’s world.
I am an enthusiastic eTwinner and have been actively involved in international projects for the past few years. I truly believe that collaboration across countries opens students’ minds, strengthens intercultural understanding, and makes learning more meaningful and engaging.
The topic of Fake News and Media Manipulation is extremely important to me. We are constantly exposed to information, I believe it is our responsibility as teachers to guide students in becoming informed, critical, and responsible digital citizens. I am especially interested in how misinformation spreads, how emotions are used to manipulate audiences, and how we can equip students with practical fact-checking skills.
I am very excited to collaborate with all of you and to see our students grow through this shared learning experience!
Looking forward to working together!

Hello everyone!
My name is Oleksandr.
I teach English as a Foreign Language, focusing on communicative skills, critical thinking, and the use of authentic materials in the classroom.
I am interested in modern teaching methods, digital tools in education, and integrating media literacy into language learning. I believe students should learn not only the language but also how to analyse information critically.
In today’s digital environment, students are constantly exposed to misinformation and online manipulation. This project is important because it helps them develop critical thinking skills, recognize bias, and become responsible digital citizens.
This is my first eTwinning experience, and I am truly excited to be part of this team. I look forward to working together on this meaningful project, exchanging ideas, and supporting our students in becoming thoughtful and informed media users.
Hello! My name is Marna Bînzaru, and I teach English as a Foreign Language.
I strongly believe that language learning is about understanding the world, communicating responsibly, and engaging thoughtfully with information. In today’s digital age, students are constantly exposed to online content, and they need the skills to identify reliable sources, recognize manipulation techniques, and think critically about what they read and share.
This project, “Beyond Fake News: Media Manipulation and Disinformation Online,” is especially important to me because it combines language learning with critical digital literacy. Sure, it will give students the opportunity to improve their English while becoming more responsible digital citizens. I believe that empowering young people to recognize disinformation is crucial for building informed, thoughtful, and resilient communities.
This project also represents my starting point in the eTwinning journey. I am excited to join the eTwinning family, collaborate with inspiring educators across Europe, and open borders through meaningful project activities. I see this initiative as a valuable opportunity to build partnerships, exchange cultural perspectives, and create authentic learning experiences for my students.
I am truly looking forward to working together, sharing ideas, and growing professionally through this collaboration.
